A custom made cultured pearl necklace using a platinum diamond Belle Epoque clasp. A strand of 81 uniform cultured pearls (approx. 6.0 mm in diameter, cream-coloured with a rosé overtone). Delicate navette-shaped clasp with finely chased decoration, set with two navette-cut diamonds (approx. 0.30 ct each, K/L, SI). Not hallmarked. Clasp length 1.5 cm. Total length 58.0 cm. The clasp c. 1915 - 20. Provenance 1991, specially commissioned from jeweller Peter Pütz, Cologne, using an Art Deco platinum clasp.
