2010 A. Rousseau, Chambertin, 12 bottle Bottle conditions : 1x12 bottle ocb (not in bond VAT not paid) All condition and packaging abbreviations (e.g., owc, ts, lbsl, etc.) are given in their original English form. Refer to our catalog for an explanation of these abbreviations. Wine notes: "Somewhat ironically, this is both more elegant and fresher than the Clos de Bèze with one of the most complex noses of the entire vintage as it combines a seemingly endless array of spice, mineral, fruit and Gevrey sauvage characters. The impressively rich, serious, mouth coating and broad-shouldered flavors possess superb volume and muscle on the sensationally persistent and explosive finish. This is even more backwards than the Bèze and should be capable of rewarding 20 plus years of cellar time as the tannins are also quite fine but very dense."(98pts BH) Provenance: The Cellar of a Swiss Entrepreneur: We are delighted to welcome back this successful Swiss entrepreneur and friend of the house with one hundred twenty-seven nearly pristine lots, much of it in original packaging. Bordeaux opens with a magnum of 1961 La Mission Haut-Brion and a case of 2000 Lafite, while Lafleur spans a case of 1983 to the more recent 2022 and 2023. Burgundy belongs to Rousseau and DRC: Rousseau Chambertin in full twelve-bottle OCBs of 2010, 2015, and 2016, and Romanée-Conti in six selections from 2016 through 2021. Domaine Leflaive dominates White Burgundy with eleven lots, led by 2009 Montrachet. All wines meticulously acquired, expertly stored, and generally in outstanding condition. Refer to original catalog header sections for additional information on provenance when available.
