Wine notes: "The 2017 Chambertin Grand Cru has a charming, quite regal bouquet with layers of crushed strawberry, raspberry and crushed iris aromas that blossom with aeration. The palate is very refined, beautifully focused with a silver bead of acidity. There is a sorbet-like freshness from start to finish, a gentle crescendo of flavours towards the blackberry, raspberry and orange zest finish that lingers persistently in the mouth. Superb."(94-96pts VM) Provenance: Swiss Savoir-Faire: Blue-Chip Bordeaux and Burgundy. A renowned Swiss collector, with many thousands of bottles in reserve, shares seventy-six lots of blue-chip Bordeaux and Burgundy, much of it in original packaging. Margaux is the backbone of the Bordeaux, with full cases of 1994 and 1998 and nine magnums of 2005 in banded OWCs, joined by a magnum of 1961 Lafite and two bottles of 1937 d’Yquem. In Burgundy, Rousseau delivers twelve bottles of 1999 Ruchottes-Chambertin Clos des Ruchottes before DRC takes center stage with three-magnum banded OWCs of 2006 and 2007 La Tâche and a 2006 Romanée-Conti. Seven lots of Coche-Dury shine among the whites. All wines removed from professional storage. Refer to original catalog header sections for additional information on provenance when available.
