The palate is medium-bodied with filigree tannin, seamless and satin-like in texture: an Unico that is shimmering with untrammeled greatness."(100pts) Provenance: The Swiss Doctor Makes Another House Call: We welcome back one of the best cellars we know in Switzerland, with lots from this good doctor’s temperature-controlled cellar in Geneva. Introduced to the great wines of France by his father, he has spent decades building his collection. Highlights include a 1961 Pétrus and a magnum of 1964, 1928 Latour, and a Montrose duo from 1947 and 1959. Domaine Leroy is the star of Burgundy, with ten lots led by 1993 Musigny, while Italy offers 1955 Giacomo Conterno Monfortino and Vega Sicilia Único comes from 1962 and 1965. Swiss rarities from Gantenbein round out this remarkable house call. All wines removed from his temperature-controlled home cellar in Geneva.
