Label is deteriorated, with extensive stains, dark spots, scuffs, cracking, and paper loss; the producer, appellation, and vintage remain legible. Black capsule is intact with slight wear. Gaja Barbaresco 2000 is a Nebbiolo red that combines the identity of Piedmont with the refined style of one of its most renowned wineries. The 2000 vintage stood out for producing ripe and generous wines, as part of a succession of excellent vintages for Barolo and Barbaresco.
