LAN, Limited Edition, 2001. D.O.Ca. Rioja, Spain. Red wine. 4 bottles of 75 cl. Condition: All four bottles have a BN (Base Neck) fill level. Original maroon capsules, intact and properly secured, bearing the Bodegas LAN emblem. The main labels show varying degrees of wear. One of them is intact, well-adhered, and fully legible. The other three show varying degrees of damage: The back labels also exhibit stains, paper loss, and deterioration of the appellation of origin markings, which are particularly pronounced on two of the bottles. It comes from a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Bodegas LAN, founded in 1972, is one of the renowned wineries of the D.O.Ca. Rioja. Its name comes from the initials of Logroño, Álava, and Navarra, the three provinces that make up the historical territory of the appellation. This 2001 Limited Edition is part of a special production run of 13,000 bottles, designed to highlight a unique selection of wines from the winery. The 2001 vintage is considered one of the most outstanding vintages in Rioja from the early 21st century and received the official rating of “Excellent.” The combination of a landmark vintage, a limited production run, and the presentation of four bottles as a set makes this lot particularly appealing to collectors of Rioja wines.
