Remírez de Ganuza Reserva, 1999. D.O.Ca. Rioja, Álava, Basque Country, Spain. Red wine. 9 bottles of 75 cl. With two original wooden cases (6 bottles and 3 bottles). Opened for inspection. Condition: All nine bottles have fill levels ranging from IN (Into Neck) to BN (Base Neck). Original maroon-red capsules, intact, bearing the inscription “Fernando Remírez de Ganuza” and the winery’s emblem at the top. Main labels are complete, well-adhered, and legible. Commercial back labels and official seals of origin are present, with slight isolated stains. Original wooden cases bearing inscriptions identifying the winery and the vintage. From a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Bodegas Fernando Remírez de Ganuza, founded in 1989 in Samaniego, has established itself as one of the leading wineries in the Rioja Alavesa region thanks to its rigorous selection of grapes and winemaking focused on precision and longevity. Its 1999 Reserva comes from old-growth vineyards located in various plots throughout the region and is made, according to the information on its labels, from 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano. The winery hand-selects the grape clusters and uses primarily the upper clusters for its reserve wines. After 23 months of barrel aging, the wine develops a profile characterized by structure, elegance, and complexity, with the potential to express notes of ripe fruit, spices, fine oak, and tertiary nuances.
