Green French tax seal preserved at the top. Original front label, intact, well-adhered, and legible, with slight moisture stains and subtle signs of aging. Original back label intact and legible, with yellowish stains and a slight vertical line of discoloration. In good overall condition. From a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Château Montrose, a Deuxième Grand Cru Classé from 1855, occupies a privileged location next to the Gironde estuary, on the deep gravel soils of Saint-Estèphe. Its blend, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, stands out for its structure, intensity, and extraordinary aging potential. The 2003 vintage, marked by an exceptionally hot summer, produced one of Montrose’s most celebrated wines of that year, with great concentration and remarkable persistence. As it ages, it may reveal notes of blackcurrant, plum, cedar, tobacco, graphite, and spices, with powerful tannins and remarkable depth.
