Château Montrose, 2003 and 1982. AOC Saint-Estèphe, Bordeaux, France. Deuxième Grand Cru Classé, 1855 classification. Red wine. 2 bottles of 75 cl. Condition: IN (Into Neck) and BN (Base Neck). Both bottles retain their red capsules, with slight signs of age and minor wrinkles. The 2003 bottle has a main label with stains and minor scuffs, and a back label with moisture stains. The 1982 bottle has a label with extensive staining, darkening, and surface wear, though the identifying information remains legible. Château Montrose is one of the great historic estates of Saint-Estèphe, renowned for the structure, longevity, and prestige of its wines. The lot up for auction brings together two particularly significant vintages: 1982, one of Bordeaux’s most iconic vintages, and 2003, recognized for its exceptional quality at Château Montrose.
