Château Ausone, 1977. A.O.C. Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux, France. Premier Grand Cru Classé A in the historic Saint-Émilion classification. Red wine. 1 bottle, 75 cl. Condition: TS (Top Shoulder) level. Original maroon capsule, intact, with slight surface marks. Front label partially peeled off and torn at the lower right corner, with slight stains. From a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Château Ausone is one of the most historic and prestigious estates in Saint-Émilion, situated on the limestone hillside overlooking the town. Its small vineyards are planted on limestone and clay soils that lend a distinct character to its wines. The traditional blend combines Cabernet Franc and Merlot, resulting in red wines of great finesse, structure, and aging potential. The 1977 vintage was a difficult year in Bordeaux, which gives this bottle primarily historical and collector’s value. Its origin from one of the great estates on the right bank and its age make it a unique testament to the history of Château Ausone.
