Original label complete and legible, with age spots, small abrasions, isolated areas of surface loss, and some wear along the edges. Original back label present, with stains, slight wear, and minor irregularities along the edges. From a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Château Mouton Rothschild is one of the great names in global viticulture and one of Bordeaux’s most prestigious estates. Its elevation to the Premier Grand Cru Classé category in 1973—the only change of its kind in the historic 1855 classification—solidified its position among the great collector’s wines. The 2001 vintage is also of particular artistic interest thanks to its label designed by the renowned American set designer Robert Wilson, who created a composition dedicated to Baroness Philippine de Rothschild. This collaboration is part of the iconic tradition begun in 1945, in which each vintage features an original work by an internationally renowned artist.
