Small quarto, loose-leaf format in the publisher’s cloth-bound cover, housed in a leather-covered cardboard slipcase bearing the coat of arms of Savoy. First edition, illustrated with 14 etchings. Limited edition of 106 copies. This is one of the 70 copies intended for subscribers: No. 19 (name erased). This famous series of etchings, all signed and dated in the copper and countersigned in pencil, includes: Les Pensières in Chavoires; a farm in Talloires; Dumont the horse dealer; Young Savoyard; La Péronne; Victor Favre; Nathalie Riotton; Druz the ferryman; Fromaget; La Fine; La Marie; Vernex; La Paclette; Jules Crochon. Introductory text by François Grange, member of the Académie de Savoie. A very fine copy. All plates are on Dutch vellum paper. One of the plates is on Chinese paper; the prints are very fresh; there are a few stains on the binding and some wear to the slipcase.
