Working print from Andrea Grützner’s (b. 1984) series “Erbgericht.” She explores the interior of the country inn “Erbgericht Polenz” in eastern Saxony—run by the same family since 1898—through elaborately staged, deserted interiors captured with a large-format analog camera. Through the deliberate use of colored flashlights and harsh, dramatic shadows, the interior shots appear as geometric, almost abstract swaths of color. - Very good.
