Sheet dimensions: 59 x 44.5 cm. Large-format photograph of the Irish writer, who directed his own “absurdist play” at Berlin’s Schiller Theater in 1967. The photo book *Samuel Beckett Directs ‘Endgame.’ Photographed by Rosemarie Clausen* was published in 1969. - Mounted on the reverse in the corners beneath the mat; small pinholes in the corners; a larger hole in the upper margin; some crease marks and scuffing; some scratch marks. - Provenance: Kastern, Hanover (2006); in a private Berlin collection since then.
