This issue features articles on the “feder(ali)zation” (actually: central structuring) of artists’ societies (on the occasion of the 3rd Plenum of the AHR), on the interaction between artists and workers (“sponsorship,” utilitarianism, internationalization), as well as sharp polemics regarding “bourgeois” and “degenerative” tendencies, directed, among others, against VHUTEIN, which was dissolved shortly after the issue’s publication later that same year (“Calling into Question”).
