Volume 1 is dedicated to Baselitz and signed and dated by the artist in pencil: G. Baselitz 16. VI. 05. Certainly the most ambitious project of an artist's magazine (or rather, artist's books) of the 1980s. Edited by Rolf Winkler, better known as AR Penck. Each volume is dedicated to a fellow artist, the first three volumes: Georg Baselitz, Jörg Immendorff, and Markus Lüpertz. The print run depended on the number of subscribers and likely did not exceed 150 to 200 copies at best.
