Silver (950) COFFEE POT. DOUAI, Hippolyte-Xavier FENASSE (inducted as a master in 1779), 1790. The body, featuring three twisted ribs, rests on three feet with scrollwork and fasteners edged with a laurel wreath and a ribbon bow. The domed lid, also featuring twisted ribs, is topped with a stylized coffee bean shaped like a coffee flower. Curved, serrated handle made of exotic wood. The monogram “JP” within a laurel wreath, stamped with a ribbon bow, is engraved on the body. A few small chips and the fastening of the finial has been modified (with a nut). Repairs to the fastenings of the wooden handle. Hallmarks are difficult to read (lid, underside of the body, and feet). Height: 33 cm; Width: 22 cm; Weight: 1227.7 g.
