Measurements: 60 x 80 cm. In this work, Lemagne’83 creates a symbolic and colorful universe that combines references to the paintings of Joan Miró with elements of African tribal iconography. The composition features stylized human figures, small structures, and circular motifs that evoke celestial bodies and ancestral symbols. The intense contrast between the warm tones of the foreground and the gradation of blues in the sky establishes a marked spatial division, while the black silhouettes and primary colors lend dynamism and rhythm to the scene. His artistic language, which draws on surrealism and abstraction, transforms these elements into a visual narrative that is both playful and enigmatic. Lemagne’83’s work moves between the surreal and the poetic, exploring the symbolic and metaphysical dimensions of the 20th-century avant-garde. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociocultural Studies from the University of Camagüey, Cuba (2012), and furthered his education with studies in photography in 2013. His work combines symbolic figuration, abstraction, and diverse cultural references. Notable among his recent exhibitions are his participation at the Thomson Gallery in Zug, Switzerland (2025); the BIARCO Contemporary Art Biennial in Armenia, Colombia (2024); “Plural” at Vearte Gallery in Alicante (2024); and the exhibition organized by the Alicante Artists’ Association (2024).
