MIROSLAV SPADRNA (Czech Republic, 1968) "The Last Sunflower: A Journey to the End of a Season," 2026. Acrylic on canvas. Signed. Certificate of authenticity included. Measurements: 160 × 100 cm. The last sunflower leans over a blue landscape as a small boat silently glides through its reflections. The flower, now withered by time, does not merely represent the end of summer: it becomes a symbol of that which ends to allow something new to begin. The boat introduces the idea of journey and continuity. Amid golden lights, deep blues, and architecture that seems to dissolve into the water, the work speaks of farewell, transformation, and hope. The end of a season is not the end of the road. Miroslav Spadrna is a Czech painter whose work moves between abstraction and figuration, creating an intense and deeply sensory visual experience. Self-taught in his early years, he had already achieved international recognition before studying fine arts: by the age of 25, his work was being sold in Germany, the Netherlands, and other European countries. He was awarded the European Artist Prize in 2023 in Milan and was appointed Coordinator of Art and Painting in the Czech Republic in 2021. He has participated in group exhibitions in Spain, including one in Berja (Andalusia, 2023), and completed an artist residency in Garachico, Canary Islands, in 1997. His work has received positive reviews and has been featured in various media outlets. Since April 2024, he has been a member of the Chicote Visual Art Gallery (Spain).
