He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and maintained friendships and professional connections with fellow painters Oswald Grill and Anton Filkuka. For a time, he lived and worked in Bad Aussee; the surrounding area—with its lakes, streams, forests, and mountain landscapes—played a defining role in his body of work. His landscapes, predominantly small-scale oil paintings, combine precise observation of nature with an evocative rendering of light and the changing seasons. PLEASE NOTE: The purchase price consists of the highest bid plus the buyer's premium, sales tax and, if applicable, the fee of artists resale rights and platform fee. In the case of normal taxation (marked ° at the estimate), a premium of 24% is added to the highest bid. The mandatory sales tax is added to the sum of the highest bid, the buyer's premium and platform fee.
