Imperial print, reproduction After Monogrammist MEISTER ES (c. 1450 – c. 1467): 2 depictions of animals, each rendered twice: stag, deer, and bird; wrestling bear and lion; 19th century; reproduction Technique: Reproduction on paper Stamp: K.S K.C. Inscription: Monogrammed (ligated): “A.T. [?]”. Numbered on the printing plate: “BL 99 | T 168 | L 226 I | L226 II | L 227 I | L 227 II”. Date: 19th century Description: High-quality reprint, presumably from the former Reichsdruckerei/Bundesdruckerei. However, it lacks the typical stamp or blindstamp. Keywords: Stag, deer, monkey, hare, squirrel, bear, lion, Gothic, Gothic miniature, medieval, 19th century, Middle Ages, Animals, Germany, Size: Paper: 37.6 cm x 26.4 cm (14.8 x 10.4 in), Plate: 25.6 cm x 19.0 cm (10.1 x 7.5 in), Depiction: 10.0 cm x 7.4 cm (3.9 x 2.9 in) Condition: Good condition. Slightly discolored due to age. With scattered foxing. Corners of the lower sheet have liquid stains and traces of a previous mounting.
