* Wine pitcher Made of glazed earthenware with a yellow base and accents of green and manganese brown. The body is globular and bulbous, resting on a small foot. The flared neck has a scalloped rim, a pinched spout, and a small handle on the back. It bears the following handwritten text incised in sgraffito on the body: “A DÉZEMPTE // A SEYSSINET // A drink for friends // 1916.” A vine branch bearing fruit decorates the left side, and an oak branch—bearing an acorn and a bird at its tip that chirps “Victoire”—decorates the other side.
