Sylvia Kristel reprises the role of Emmanuelle, who, thanks to the international success of the first film, had become a true icon of 1970s erotic cinema. In Hong Kong, she is reunited with her husband Jean, played by Umberto Orsini, with whom she maintains a relationship based on freedom and the sharing of their respective experiences. Even more stylized than the first film, this installment combines exotic settings, cinematography with refined colors, and music by Francis Lai.
