Schuco Collection, Studio II Auto Union, Grand Prix Racer 1070 and Tin Motorcycle Collection of tin toys. Included are the Schuco "Studio II Auto Union", model 1675, a silver racing car kit with clockwork and key; a Schuco Grand Prix Racer, model 1070; and a motorcyclist of lithographed tinplate with friction drive, marked "Made in Western Germany". Played with. On the Studio II Auto Union the function is not given (key present); the Grand Prix Racer has not been tested for function. The Schuco Studio II 1675 reproduces the Auto Union Grand Prix racing car of the 1930s, the mid-engined Silver Arrows from Zwickau designed by Ferdinand Porsche which, together with Mercedes-Benz, dominated the racing scene of those years. Together with the Grand Prix Racer 1070 (prototype Ferrari 500) and the friction motorcycle, the collection brings together typical tin toy racing subjects of the post-war period.
