The absence of smaller, delicate add-on parts cannot be completely ruled out. Function not tested. For the 750th anniversary of the city of Berlin, Märklin issued this locomotive set for Z gauge in 1987, whose three models represent the great locomotive builders of the capital. Louis Schwartzkopff founded an iron foundry and engineering works in Berlin in 1852, which from 1870 traded as Berliner Maschinenbau-Actien-Gesellschaft vormals L. Schwartzkopff and put a second works in Wildau into operation in 1900. August Borsig had already founded his engineering works in 1837. AEG moved its locomotive factory to Hennigsdorf in 1913; after the merger with Borsig in 1931, steam locomotive construction also moved from Tegel to Hennigsdorf and continued until 1944 under the name Borsig Lokomotiv Werke GmbH as a subsidiary of the AEG group.
