According to the box lettering 'Demonstrations-Zug Design-Studie der Deutschen Bundesbahn', consisting of an electric locomotive of class 111 and four passenger coaches in the colour designs of the design study, among them coaches with City-Bahn marking 'CB'. Enclosed is the video special 'Krokodil - Adler - Storchenbein'. Played-with condition, the locomotive's function has been tested and is present. In the 1980s the German Federal Railway tested new design and colour concepts for its vehicles; to this context belongs the City-Bahn, which ran from 1984 between Cologne and Gummersbach with specially designed coaches. Märklin, founded in Göppingen in 1859, took up the theme for the 125th anniversary of the firm. Collectors value the set as a document of the DB design history.
