Märklin red railcar train three-part with silver roof, gauge H0 Three-part railcar train of the Märklin brand in gauge H0. Red body with a silver roof, consisting of two power cars and a centre car. Played-with condition. The electrics respond (light on, motor hums), however the drive is seized due to the long period of standing (gummed up); servicing and cleaning are imperative. The light of the locomotive is not functional. The absence of smaller, delicate add-on parts cannot be entirely ruled out. From the 1950s multi-part railcar trains replaced locomotive-hauled trains in fast passenger traffic in the prototype, because they managed without turning manoeuvres at the terminal stations. Märklin had such sets in its range for many years; as a closed train they are in demand with collectors.
