Published by Rime, 1963, 72 pp., B.E. [POETRY, EMIGRANT PUBLICATIONS] Sergei MAKOVSKY LOT: 1) The Circle and the Shadow: Fifth Book of Poems. Published by Rifma, Paris, 1951. 45 pp., publisher’s cover, 16.3 × 12.3 cm, in fair condition (cover tear along the spine). 2) On the Earthly Path: Sixth Book of Poems. Published by Rifma, 1953. 46 pp., hardcover, 16.4 × 12.3 cm, in good condition. 3) REQUIEM: The Ninth Book of Poems. Published by Rifma, 1963, 72 pp., in fair condition. A posthumous, definitive collection by Sergei Konstantinovich Makovsky (1877–1962)—poet, art critic, publisher of the journal *Apollon*, and one of the prominent cultural figures of the first wave of emigration. This is his ninth and final book of poetry. The eight previous volumes were published during his lifetime (mostly in exile); *Requiem* was prepared and published by the poet’s son. The book was published by the very same “Rifma” publishing house that Makovsky had led for many years (serving as editor and head of the editorial board).
