That is, 3 in-8 volumes in their original, uniform bindings of the period, (3)-XLIII-336 pp., 6 fold-out maps; (3)-453-(3) pp., 14 fold-out maps on 15 sheets and 3 fold-out plates, and XVI-360 pp. Contemporary fawn-colored sheepskin with root grain, decorated raised spine (binding rubbed, joints worn, caps worn down, title and volume number missing, some discoloration and marks, small tears without loss on some maps). Illustrated with 23 plates, including 20 maps (nos. 1–20; map no. 16 is in 2 sheets). The maps and fold-out views are engraved in black on copper, some printed on azure-colored laid paper.
