A massive Chinese apricot-ground 'Eight Immortals and Three Star Gods' embroidery Late Qing dynasty The border finely embroidered to the top with the Three Star Gods, Fu Lu and Shou, in a fenced garden with lotuses, finger citrons and ripe peaches, the borders with four of the Eight Immortals amidst billowing clouds on each side, the bottom with a pair of cranes and deer above waves and the pavilion on the Island of the Immortals, all framing a central rectangular cartouche of couched thread-embroidered 'Shou' characters in its myriad forms, the top inscribed 龍綸燕喜 'Long Lun Yan Xi', 356cm x 154cm. 清晚期 杏地八仙福祿壽三星紋刺繡 Cf.
