[DRINKING CULTURE] CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE 'PEACH AND LOQUAT' EWER QING DYNASTY 清 仿永樂青花花果紋執壺based on a Persian metal form, the pear-shaped body rising from a short straight foot to tall waisted neck and everted lipped rim, painted on both sides with large peach-form panel, one enclosing a fruiting peach spray, the other a fruiting loquat, enclosed by floral stems, set to one side with a strap handle, opposite with a long curved spout secured to the body with a cloud-shaped strut 19cm high Compare to a Ming-style blue and white ewer, similar in design, further with a seal mark and period of Qianlong, sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong, 12 October 2021, lot 46.
