CARLSHAMNS FLAGGPUNSCH IMPORTANT SWEDISH SILVER BOBSLEIGH TROPHY CUP, STOCKHOLM, 1914 plain silver presentation cup of substantial size raised on a circular spreading foot, the stem applied with a chased and embossed laurel-leaf frieze, the bowl of calyx form, with an attractive aged patina Engraved with the Swedish inscription ‘HEDERSPRIS / BOB-SLEIGH / ÅRE 1914’ (Honour Prize, Bobsleigh, Åre, 1914) Hallmarks: maker’s mark ‘ABH’ possibly for Bernhard Hertz, Stockholm city mark ‘crowned head of Saint Eric’, Swedish national control mark ‘three crowns in a trefoil’, silver standard mark ‘S in a hexagon’ (830/1000), date letter ‘M7’ for 1914 H. 26 cm, diameter of the cup 20.5 cm gross weight: 967 gr.
