EUGENE LIPKOWITCH AND ANDRE VERLON An Outrage Against Reason… Imago Exhibition at the Case d'Art—Paris, 1965. Vintage poster (lithograph printed by Mourlot). 71 x 50 cm. Handled edges (small creases), poster is folded and has slight thumbtack holes along one edge. Note: This poster announces the exhibition *Outrage à la raison*, organized in 1965 by the Imago group at the Case d’Art in Paris, featuring Eugène Lipkowitz and André Verlon. At a time marked by the effervescence of the avant-garde and the questioning of aesthetic conventions, the very title of the exhibition asserted an exploration of the realms of the imagination, the irrational, and creative freedom. Printed by the Mourlot workshops, this lithograph bears witness to the dynamism of the Parisian art scene of the 1960s, where galleries and alternative venues fostered the emergence of experimental approaches. It serves as a representative document of the artistic and intellectual explorations that were then driving the world of contemporary art.
