38 - Armand BOUVIER (1913–1997).

Armand BOUVIER (1913–1997). “Flowers and Fruit.” Oil on canvas, signed lower right, countersigned and titled on the reverse. Height: 55 cm - Width: 46 cm Note: A self-taught French painter born in Brittany, Armand Bouvier developed a figurative style marked by the influence of Fauvism. His work is distinguished by a broad, spontaneous brushstroke, as well as by the use of bold colors that give structure to the composition. He favors a free interpretation of the subject, in which color and light play a full role in the construction of the image.
