French jewelry from the 1950s–1960s “Volute” brooch in 950‰ platinum featuring a coiled design adorned with lines and clusters of diamonds in antique, brilliant, half-cut, and baguette cuts, set in closed-grip, rail, or grain settings. Pins in 750‰ white gold and a safety safetypin. Partially visible diamond-shaped workshop hallmark. Originally part of a double clip; the reverse side features elements of a conversion mechanism. Weight of the main diamond: approximately 0.80 carats. Dimensions: 5.4 x 3.1 cm. Gross weight: 24.8 g. (Transformation mechanism missing). Our brooch is reminiscent of the lapel clips from the House of Belperron, with their voluminous forms and diamond-encrusted coils.
