Charles HOLL, Mid-20th century 750‰ yellow gold cigarette case with a grooved radial pattern. The knob features a gadrooned motif set with a cabochon sapphire. Numbered “70278.” Made in France, with the workshop’s diamond-shaped hallmark. Dimensions: 7.9 x 6.5 x 1.7 cm. Gross weight: 156.9 g. (Slight scratches from normal use). Comes with a black suede-like pouch. Specializing in the manufacture of bags, toiletries cases, powder compacts, and cigarette cases, Charles Holl worked with numerous jewelry houses, including Cartier, Hermès, Marchak, Tiffany, and Van Cleef & Arpels.
