216 - 1792-style saber for a non-commissioned officer or officer of the mounted chasseurs, with a single-branch brass guard adorned with fillets, straight crossguard, two small lugs, a cap with a long tail engraved throughout, and a shaft entirely decorated with filigree; Montmorency-style blade with very slight curvature, polished to a white finish, stamped: “M R” in an oval surrounded by pearls (stamp of the Royal Manufactory of Klingenthal, in use from July 1791 to September 1792); leather scabbard, three brass fittings cut in an accolade shape and engraved with fillets, iron tip; length 97.5 cm.
