DAUM NANCY “Les Pavots” Tall vase resting on a pedestal with a bulge at the top. Multilayered glass piece; the title decoration etched with acid and finished in red and black on an orange marbled background, with parts of the design finely chiseled using the cold-chisel technique; the background finished in places with a wheel, evoking a hammered effect. 1910s. Signed DAUM Nancy with the Cross of Lorraine, engraved around the rim of the base. Height: 52 cm A slight original flaw (burst bubble) on the base. Bibliography: Clotilde Bacri, *Daum*, Editions Michel Aveline, Paris, 1992. A very similar but smaller vase is reproduced on page 60. Expert: Emmanuel EYRAUD.
