503 - L. DUCHÊNE ET COMPAGNIE spindle pocket watch in 18K rose gold with diamonds, last quarter of the 18th century. Case in 18K rose gold. Front adorned all around with diamond roses. Back features neoclassical floral motifs and an animal scene in an octagonal cartouche. Full-plate movement with round pillars and spindle escapement—runs well, accuracy not tested. White enamel dial with radially arranged Arabic numerals—signed “Ls. Duchêne et Compagnie.” Silver Louis XVI hands set with gemstones. Case in very good condition with no damage. Movement in good condition. Dial free of hairline cracks, with minor imperfections in the enamel at the 6 and 11 o’clock positions. Hands in very good condition. Matching winding key of more recent manufacture included. Diameter approx. 46 mm, measured without the crown.
