MAC CARTHY (J.). A Selection of Journeys Through the Four Corners of the World, or A Summary of the Most Interesting Journeys, by Land and Sea, Undertaken from the Year 1806 to the Present. Paris, Published by the Librairie Nationale et Etrangère and by Locard and Davi, Booksellers, 1821–1822. 8 vols. (of 10: the last two are missing) in-8 (20 x 13), contemporary half-basane, smooth spine with gilt fillets and fleurons, gemmed edges. Copy in fine condition. The work covers the four parts of the world (i.e., the continents except Oceania), with two volumes devoted to each.
