Baroque, fully sculpted figure of a cup-bearer/boy as a servant, used as a corbel ornament, circa 1700, carved from oak, The height of the figure is 97 cm The figure has a curly, childlike face with downcast eyes and a body draped in an antique-style cloak that ends in a leaf-patterned skirt. At the head and foot ends are coiled volutes, suggesting that the sculpture was attached to a wall or a piece of furniture as a support or corbel. Given the depiction, this is likely to have been a console ornament from a stately dining room around 1700, carved oak, two fingertips of the right hand missing (barely visible), height 97 cm
