The painting is a rarity, as the old bandstand no longer exists and has been replaced on the spa promenade by the new concert shell; oil on cardboard, 38 x 46 cm, signed on the left, handwritten title on the reverse, framedAbout the artist: Grozi’s works predominantly comprise atmospheric landscapes, still lifes, beach scenes and maritime motifs such as fishing boats. His oil paintings are characterised by a classical Impressionist style, often marked by soft colours and visible, dynamic brushstrokes.About the bandstand: The old bandstand in Baden-Baden was a historic, cast-iron structure on the spa promenade. It was built in 1858 to a design by the architect Charles Polycarpe Séchan. Until 1912, it served as the main venue for summer open-air and spa concerts. Today, the old building no longer exists. In 1912, it was replaced by the Art Nouveau concert shell at the Kurhaus Baden-Baden - which still stands today - designed by August Stürzenacker.
