7 Dunhill Cumberland Sandblasted Briar Tobacco Pipes in Presentation Case, Unsmoked 7 Dunhill Cumberland tobacco pipes of various shapes including billiard, bent billiard, and pot forms. Each pipe features a sandblasted briar bowl with a reddish-brown finish and a smooth rim. The stems are constructed of mottled brown and black brindle vulcanite, each adorned with the manufacturer's signature white spot inlay. The set is housed in a black lacquered wood presentation case featuring a cream satin-lined lid and a dark green velvet-lined interior with individual form-fitted recesses. The case is secured by brass hinges and a front locking mechanism with an accompanying key. Marked on the shanks Dunhill Cumberland, Made in England, and with various shape and date codes including 4204, 4133, 4134, 4405, 4202, 4109, and 4112. Longest pipe: 6" L x 1 1/2" W x 2" H. Case: 4 1/2" H x 14 1/2" L x 10 1/2" W. 4C CONDITION: The pipes appear to be in unsmoked, unused condition with no charring or residue visible in the bowls. The sandblasted finish is uniform across all examples and the vulcanite stems show no oxidation or tooth marks. The presentation case exhibits minor shelf wear to the underside and very light surface scratches to the lacquer finish consistent with handling. The brass hardware is bright and functional.
