Montblanc Meisterstück 925 Sterling Silver Fountain Pen and Crystal Inkwell Set Montblanc fountain pen and desk set. The set includes a Meisterstück Solitaire No. 146 LeGrand fountain pen constructed of 925 sterling silver with a pinstripe "grain d'orge" guilloché pattern. The pen features a piston filling system and gold-plated furniture including a clip and triple cap bands. Accompanying the pen is a square-based clear crystal inkwell featuring a circular central reservoir and a hinged gold-plated brass cap with a rounded top. The set is housed in a black leatherette presentation case with a cream-colored silk and velvet lining. The pen cap band is marked Meisterstück Montblanc No 146 and the cap barrel is marked with a 925 oval hallmark. The inkwell cap is marked Montblanc Germany on the rim and features a stamped star emblem on the top. The interior case lid is printed Montblanc The Art of Writing Meisterstück. 20C CONDITION: The sterling silver pen body and cap exhibit significant surface tarnish and a dark patina throughout. Light surface scratches and scuffs are visible on the smooth silver portions of the cap and barrel. The gold-plated clip and rings show minor surface wear but no plating loss. The inkwell metal cap displays heavy oxidation and surface tarnish with numerous fine scratches. The crystal base is intact with no visible chips or cracks. The presentation case shows minor shelf wear to the exterior and compression marks on the interior velvet.
