The steel is from the Battleship USS Missouri, on whose quarterdeck the Japanese agreement of surrender was signed by General of the Army MacArthur and Fleet Admiral Nimitz on September 2, 1945. Acknowledgments to the United States Navy, Mount Vernon Ladies Association, Thomas Jefferson Memorial Foundation." In fine condition.
