GEORGES HENRI MANZANA-PISSARRO (1871–1961) Two Blackbirds in a Strawberry Bush Woodcut, in the style of a Japanese print, enhanced with gouache and gold, on brown paper mounted on cardboard. Signed lower right; pencil annotations in the lower margin. Composition depicting two blackbirds facing each other, perched on a branch beneath a strawberry plant with leaves, white flowers, and ripe strawberries, all set against a gold background and a blue-green area evoking the shadow of the foliage. Executed in broad, flat areas of color outlined in black, in a Japanese-inspired style. Wear and tears along the edges with annotations.
