The pot-à-oille features a polychrome floral decoration; the lid’s rim is adorned in the round with a putto pouring flowers from his cornucopia. The base of the pot and the rim of the lid are accented with a gold border. Traces of a blue mark are visible beneath the base. The neck is adorned with a frieze of ovals. The base is decorated with a chain motif and drapery, resting on lion’s paw feet surmounted by acanthus leaves. The handles, some of which are movable, are decorated with acanthus leaves and laurel wreaths.
