ANTIQUE BROOCH FROM THE MID-19TH CENTURY Antique brooch, circa 1850. Inner image on porcelain and outer frame in metal with a gold-plated finish. Depicts a female portrait in the 18th-century style. Floral decoration and scrollwork in relief. It retains the upper loop for hanging or for use as a pendant or ornamental brooch. The reverse features a mother-of-pearl backing and also retains the horizontal pin mechanism.
