The prestigious French manufactory of Chantilly, under the patronage of the Prince of Condé, distinguished itself in the first half of the 18th century for its reproduction and interpretation of refined Japanese Kakiemon motifs. Our lot features the classic flowering branches, bamboo, and a bird with polychrome plumage (phoenix or pheasant) perched on natural elements, framed by elaborate black and red geometric scroll borders typical of the production of this period.
