It bears on both the front and back the remarkable and highly sought-after two-color stamp from that era: “Delivery Suspended BY MILITARY AUTHORITIES.”The envelope was opened for inspection by the Bordeaux censorship commission, then resealed with its original regulation gummed strip reading “MILITARY POSTAL INSPECTION,” stamped with the official oval stamp of Inspector No. 2B 273.
